Plant Care

Light: Prefers low to medium, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight but avoid intense, direct rays which can scorch the leaves. Low light conditions can lead to slower growth.

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant’s growth slows.

Humidity: Thrives in high humidity. Increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly, using a humidifier, or placing the plant on a pebble tray with water.

Temperature: Ideal temperatures range from 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend of peat, perlite, and pine bark, to ensure adequate drainage and prevent root rot.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, liquid houseplant fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is 1-2 inches larger in diameter and has good drainage.
