Xerographica

Xerographica, a specific species of air plant (Tillandsia xerographica), represents a captivating member of the Tillandsia genus. Recognized for its striking appearance, this air plant features stunning silver-gray leaves that curl and twist, creating an eye-catching rosette. Like other Tillandsia species, xerographica is an epiphytic plant, relying on air and minimal soil for sustenance. Its distinctive beauty and resilience make it a sought-after addition to botanical collections, and its care includes providing bright, indirect light, regular misting, and a well-ventilated environment to ensure its longevity and aesthetic appeal.

Plant Care

Light: Place your xerographica in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning or late afternoon, but avoid intense, scorching sunlight.

Watering: Xerographica air plants require thorough but infrequent watering. Submerge the plant in room-temperature water for about 20-30 minutes every 2-3 weeks. After soaking, gently shake off excess water to prevent rot.

Drying: After watering, ensure that the xerographica dries completely within 4 hours. Place it upside down or at an angle to allow excess water to drain from the center rosette. Adequate drying prevents rot and fungal issues.

Air Circulation: Good air circulation is crucial for air plants. Ensure they have adequate ventilation, as stagnant air can lead to problems. A well-ventilated space or occasional gentle airflow from a fan is beneficial.

Temperature: Maintain a temperature range of 50-90°F (10-32°C) for your xerographica. Protect it from extreme cold or heat, as prolonged exposure to such conditions can harm the plant.
