Air Plant Care
Light: Air plants thrive in bright, indirect light. Place them near a window with filtered sunlight or in a location with good ambient light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the plants.
Watering: Air plants need regular hydration. The most common way to water them is by misting. Use a spray bottle to mist your air plants thoroughly once a week. In drier conditions, you may need to mist them more often, but be careful not to overwater, as excessive moisture can lead to rot.
Soaking: About once a month, give your air plants a thorough soak to ensure they receive adequate hydration. Submerge the plants in room-temperature water for 20-30 minutes. After soaking, gently shake off excess water and allow them to dry completely before returning them to their display.
Air circulation: Air plants require good air circulation to prevent rot. After soaking, place them upside down or at an angle to allow any trapped water to drain from their central rosette. Ensure they dry within 4 hours to prevent rotting.
Temperature: Keep your air plants in a temperature range of 50-90°F (10-32°C). They can tolerate occasional dips in temperature, but prolonged exposure to extreme cold or heat can harm them.
