This classical shaped rosette is a gorgeous deep burgundy, almost black in color, with a vibrant lime green center. This succulent blooms during the winter producing lovely, bright yellow flowers. It’s a perfect succulent for use as a backdrop, and provides a dark contrast of color in planters, wedding florals, and terrariums.

Size: 1-3 feet

Propagation: Propagate this succulent by taking a cutting from the mother plant during the early summer. Allow the cutting stem to dry and callous over where the plant was clipped for a few days, and then place the cutting into moist soil. Avoid watering and keep out of direct sunlight until the plant has rooted (about 2-3 weeks).

Light: Full sun/partial shade

Water: Water this succulent only once the soil is completely dry. Be cautious to not over water this succulent to avoid root rot. This succulent will do best in a well-draining soil.

Zone: 9,10,11

Temperature: Warm coastal climates. Avoid freezing temperatures.

Fertilizer: Apply fertilizer during the grow season from spring time through summer, once or twice a week. This will boost the plants natural defenses against environmental stress.
